40 Week Fast From Wrong Thinking: Week 3

Today we fast from the thought that says: "The future is fearful and uncertain."

Random violence, economic problems, instability around the world - the future for you or your children can seem bleak. But that's all about to change!

Let’s Change It TODAY:

1. Realize your future is a GIFT from God. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "…I know the plans I have for you…to GIVE you a future…."You see, God gives you a future! And everything He gives, is GOOD & PERFECT. Your good and perfect future is on its way. Receive it!

2. You can KNOW what the future holds. The Holy Spirit will show you. John 16:13 says the Holy Spirit will reveal to you the things to come. Ask Him to show you what is to come and prepare you for it.

3. Your future is in YOUR SEEDS. Our future is not determined by random luck; but by the seeds we sow. God gave us SEEDTIME & HARVEST, to eliminate fear, and shape our future (Genesis 8:22) Plant good seeds today for your tomorrow.

4. Receive the wisdom of God. (All you have to do is ask - James 1:5). Proverbs 22:3 says that a wise man FORESEES what is coming and takes action—WISDOM EMPOWERS YOU TO FORESEE. We act, rather than re-act.

5. Take Inventory of what you have in stock! 2 Timothy 1:7 says God hasn't given the spirit of fear, but HE HAS GIVEN power, love & a sound mind. You are loaded with the tools to be free from fear.

Think It & Say It:

I receive my GREAT future as a gift from God! I expect a fear-free life & a fear-free future. I invite the Holy Spirit to disclose to me the things to come, so I will not be caught off guard. My seeds determine my future; therefore I know what kind of harvest is coming. I have not been given the spirit of fear; but I have power, love & a sound mind, to shape my future, in Jesus' Name.
