40 Week Fast From Wrong Thinking: Week 12

This week we're fasting from the thought that says, "I need a blessing." This sounds right, but it's not right thinking.

Let's Change It This Week:

1. You HAVE the blessing already! Ephesians 1:3 says He has ALREADY blessed us with ALL blessings.

2. ACTIVATE the blessing! (Philemon v. 6) We stir up or activate the blessing through acknowledging or declaring what is ALREADY in us in Christ Jesus. You have the blessing of His Spirit, His love, His wisdom, His anointing, His mind., etc. Declare it.

3. The blessing comes with Jesus! The moment you received Him, you received the blessing too! (Romans 8:32)

4. The blessing & blessings of God are gifts of grace. They are not earned or deserved. He has blessed you freely, by being in Christ. (Galatians 3:13-14)

5. You have been marked with blessing & grace! Psalm 67:1 says "God mark us with your blessing & grace." When you see a promise in the Old Testament, realize it's now fulfilled in Christ, in the New Testament. It's done. (John 19:30)

Think It & Say It:
God has already blessed me fully, in Christ Jesus, with every blessing of promise. When I received Jesus, I received the blessing, and all the blessings that go with Him. The blessing of God is the mark of God's grace in my life, and it flows freely in me and toward me, continually, in Jesus' Name!

40 Week Fast From Wrong Thinking: Week 11

This week we are fasting from the thought that says, "It's hard to wake up with enthusiasm and optimism."

Let's Change It This Week:

1. Expect to wake up with MORE than you went to bed with. Psalm 127:2 says "He GIVES TO HIS BELOVED even in their sleep." You are His beloved (Ephesians 1:6).

2. Look forward not backward. (Philippians 3:13) Forget how boring or depressing your past few days, weeks or months have been. TODAY has NOTHING to do with yesterday!

3. Believe THIS promise: Psalm 118:24 "THIS is the DAY the Lord has made. I will rejoice & be glad in IT."

4. It is He who awakens you. (Isaiah 50:4) It's not your alarm or the daylight, or your sleeplessness, or your body clock. It's God who awakens you. Thank Him.

5. God wants to speak an AMAZING word to you when you wake. (Isaiah 50:4)

Think It & Say It:
I wake up each day EXPECTING God to speak to me. It is He who awakens me, because He wants to do something amazing in my life. I am His beloved, and I have MORE this morning/day, than I did when I went to bed. No matter how good or bad yesterday was, this is MY day & I rejoice in it, in Jesus' Name!

40 Week Fast From Wrong Thinking: Week 10

This week we fast from the thought that says, "I can't shake my past." Often our past is what limits us, and keeps us defeated.

Let's Change It This Week:

1. Meet the new you. You truly are a NEW CREATION—if you are in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

2. God will use your past. Live in Romans 8:28. All things, including your past, works for your GOOD! While your past is over, God can make it work to your advantage.

3. You are more than a conqueror. (Romans 8:37) That includes your past. You are a conqueror. See yourself that way.

4. You are NOT GUILTY. No matter how guilty you WERE. You ARE NOW NOT GUILTY. (Romans 8:1)

5. You CAN shake it off. In Acts 28:5 Paul shook off the serpent. And you HAVE the power to do so as well. (Luke 10:19, Mark 16:18)

Think It & Say It:
I am a new creation in Christ Jesus; and no matter how bad my past is, it's not only forgiven—it's washed away. I am more than a conqueror and I will not be pushed around by memories or people in my past. I am NOT guilty. I shake off my past. And I expect God will turn it around for good, in some miraculous way, in Jesus' Name.
